At the start of each round the overlay picks a phrase, hides most of the letters, and then reveals more of them over time while the 30-second timer runs. The twist is that the reveal does not give everything away. The source keeps the final two letters hidden until the round is solved or times out, which forces chat to commit instead of waiting for the full answer to appear.
