Lantern Derby: Interactive TikTok LIVE Game

Five colour lanes race to a beacon. Every mapped gift advances one runner using coin-scaled distance, while chat and likes provide free nudges.

Easy to add to your stream: copy one hosted link into TikTok LIVE Studio as a link source, or into OBS as a browser source. Streamlabs and Meld Studio can use the same link too.

Best For

Present creators hosting a clear five-way gift race

The stream moment where it tends to hit hardest.

How It Works

Countdown starts automatically, then five original mechanical lantern runners move along separate tracks.

Four named gift routes feed each lane. Distance is 5 + 3 × square root of coin value, multiplied by completed streak quantity.

Chat 1-5 or a lane name adds 3m. Every 50 likes nudges the viewer’s last supported lane by 3m.

First to 1,000m wins. At 120 seconds the furthest runner wins; result and cooldown screens then advance into the next race automatically.

FAQ

Quick answers for creators who want to move fast.

What is Lantern Derby?

Five mechanical lantern runners race automatically while 20 mapped gifts push their lanes. Free for TikFinity.

Is Lantern Derby free?

Yes. Lantern Derby is one of the free TT Interactive widgets. Set it up on its hosted page and copy the browser source link, with no account or checkout.

Do I need TikFinity?

Yes. These widgets are built around TikFinity event data, so you need TikFinity connected to your LIVE for the overlay to receive chat, gift, like, follow, and Super Fan events.

Do all twenty gifts work?

Yes. Four gift routes map to each of five lanes. Unmapped numeric gifts also fall back to a lane by ID so regional gifts can still take part.

How far does a gift move?

Distance is rounded from 5 + 3 × the square root of the event coin value, then multiplied by completed streak quantity. Higher-cost gifts create larger effects but never guarantee a win.

What is assumed in this game?

The public source establishes five fixed lanes, four gift tiers, square-root coin distance, chat nudges and an automatic countdown/race/result/cooldown cycle. It provides no public gameplay video, so the mechanical-lantern art, ambient pace and exact result presentation are original design choices. All 20 named research mappings are recognised. Where a named gift is absent from the dated GB room snapshot, a valid regional default ID is supplied and the research name remains an alias. Real room availability and prices vary. The source uses countries and horse art. This recreation uses five original colour lanes and mechanical lantern runners; no competitor code, names, art, audio or assets are included. Countdown begins automatically to satisfy TT Interactive autoplay. Gifts during countdown/results bank for the next racing phase. Chat is throttled to one lane vote per viewer every two seconds; every 50 likes nudges the last supported lane. Genuine LIVE delivery is pending. Replay protection uses event/message IDs when supplied; indistinguishable sends without IDs cannot be perfectly deduplicated.
