How It Works
Checkers starts with a 60-second draft instead of opening the board to everyone. Viewers earn draft points from gifts, likes, chat, shares, follows, and Super Fan status. When that timer ends, the top two supporters become the players on stream, with the highest scorer taking Red and the first move.
Once the match starts, only those drafted players can control the board. They type moves in chat using coordinates like B6-A5 or jump chains like C5-E7. The rules are not watered down either: captures are forced, multiple jumps are enforced when available, and pieces crown into kings on the far row so they can move in both directions.
That draft-to-spotlight structure is why it works on TikTok LIVE. The wider room still has a reason to gift and tap during the draft, then everybody gets a clean head-to-head story to watch once the board goes live. It feels competitive without needing a controller handoff or any extra moderation.
