Cruise together. Let chat save the car.
Viewers Control Forza Horizon on TikTok LIVE: Complete Tutorial for Beginners
Give chat the wheel in Forza Horizon, then give them a way to undo the mess. Throttle gifts keep the cruise moving, short steering holds nudge the car off course, and a rewind gift lets a viewer rescue a run after a spectacular wrong turn.

Set up a forgiving Horizon cruise
Start in Horizon Solo, the single-player world, with an automatic gearbox and a manageable road car. Choose a wide stretch of road before attempting a race. Leave driving assists on, including traction control, stability control and ABS, to keep delayed keyboard inputs drivable. Enable rewind in the difficulty settings.
Forza Horizon: the keys behind the gifts
These are default PC keys for Forza Horizon: W is throttle, S is brake/reverse, A and D steer, Space is handbrake, R is rewind and H is horn. Check your own keybinds before copying them into TikFinity, especially if you have changed keyboard profiles.
Gift-to-key starter table
Use these as starting holds for a low-powered car, rather than guaranteed distances. Pick gifts available on your account and label them clearly. Screen 1 keeps throttle and brake in order; screen 2 lets steering overlap the engine input.
| Example gift | PC key | Action | Hold duration (ms) | TikFinity screen |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rose | W | Throttle | 1,500 | 1 |
| TikTok | S | Brake / reverse if held at rest | 500 | 1 |
| Ice Cream | A | Steer left | 250 | 2 |
| Finger Heart | D | Steer right | 250 | 2 |
| Doughnut | Space | Handbrake tap | 150 | 3 |
| Heart Me | R | Rewind: viewer save | 150 | 3 |
| GG | H | Horn | 200 | 3 |
Connect TikFinity to Forza Horizon
- Prepare the Windows driving PC. Open TikFinity Desktop on the Windows PC running Forza Horizon. Close the TikFinity web version, complete Setup with your streaming username and finish TikTok login. Use LIVE Studio, or OBS with a stream key, to capture the game.
- Build a throttle action, then duplicate it. In Actions & Events, create an action named Horizon throttle. Tick Simulate keystrokes, choose W and enable game compatibility mode, completing its installation prompt if required. Enter 1,500 ms as the key hold. 1,000 ms = 1 second. Duplicate this action for the remaining keys, changing each name, key and duration to match the table.
- Separate the driving queues. Assign W and S to screen 1, A and D to screen 2, and the handbrake, rewind and horn to screen 3. Each screen has its own queue, allowing throttle and steering to run together while opposing directions wait their turn. Start with a short queue of about ten actions per screen; long backlogs make a rescue difficult to time.
- Connect the gifts and overlay screens. Create an event using Sending a specific gift, select Rose and attach Horizon throttle. Add one event for each other gift in your legend. Choose whether Repeat with gift combos should queue repeated holds. Add each TikFinity screen URL as a Link source in LIVE Studio or a Browser source in OBS when using alerts or TTS.
- Try a short cruise before going live. On a clear road in Horizon Solo, press the play icon beside the throttle action. You have five seconds to tab into the game and give it focus. Watch the car accelerate and confirm the key releases. Try steering, braking and rewind individually, using the action play control rather than the Event Simulator for keystrokes. Resume driving manually after selecting the rewind point.
Forza Horizon stream tips
- Make rewind the viewer save. A short R tap opens the rewind sequence; it is not a guaranteed automatic recovery. Pause gift input while you choose a useful point and resume. Show that pause on stream so viewers understand why steering is temporarily unavailable.
- Open-world cruising suits sleep streams because there is no race countdown forcing chat to hit a corner on time. Use a calm route and your own clearly labelled footage if you include a loop. Stay present to manage the stream and follow the platform rules.
- Keep assists on and use automatic gears. A predictable car with grip gives viewers time to see what their gift did. Save powerful rear-wheel-drive cars and longer handbrake holds for a separate challenge once the basic cruise works.
- Use tiny steering corrections at speed. If 250 ms sends the car across both lanes, shorten A and D before extending the throttle. Give the horn a cheap gift so viewers can join in without every interaction changing the route.
Show the road and the rescue button
Keep the road and the next junction visible in the middle of a portrait scene. Put a large W/A/S/D legend beneath the capture, with a separate yellow R key labelled Rewind rescue. A viewer should be able to read the gift names and hold times on a phone without covering the car.
Harry shows a 1080 × 640 Canva canvas for the lower panel. Add your camera above the game, then place TikFinity alerts beside the legend. The alert display duration controls how long the message stays visible; it does not change the driving key hold.
Forza Horizon: setup questions
Can a rewind gift save any crash?
Only when rewind is available in the current activity and enabled in your settings. R requests the rewind sequence; the streamer still chooses the point and resumes. Pause the driving queue during that recovery.
Why does the car steer but refuse to accelerate?
Check that W and S use screen 1 while A and D use screen 2. Confirm the throttle action uses your current binding, game compatibility mode is enabled and Forza has keyboard focus.
Should I use an online race?
Choose Horizon Solo and free roaming for the first session. Single-player cruising gives you room to stop, recover and adjust the gift timing without disrupting other drivers.
